Alice Wu’s The Half of It goes into production

15 years after her first film, the rom-com Saving Face, was released Alice Wu is in production for her movie The Half of It. Loosely based on the plays Cyrano de Bergerac and Pygmalion, the film follows a shy straight A Chinese-American teenager who helps a jock to woo a girl that she is also secretly in love with. 

The film stars Leah Lewis, Daniel Diemer, and Alexxis Lemire and is being produced as a Netflix original.
